Excursions to Passive House projects in the Rhine/Main region

On April 24, 2016 the conference participants can visit a number of Passive Houses in Darmstadt.

 

1. Darmstadt Tour - Residential buildings FULLY BOOKED!

Sunday April 24th, 2016, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Half-day (9:00 - 2:00) excursion offers visits to several residential buildings in Darmstadt and the surrounding area. This tour brings us to the first Passive House, built 25 years ago! Our guide there will be Dr. Wolfgang Feist. Besides the first Passive House, we will visit a multistorey building and a 2-family house, both of which are newly built buildings.

 

2. Darmstadt Tour - Residential and non-residential buildings FULLY BOOKED!

You want to see more? The full-day excursion (9:00 - 4:00) offers more visits to several residential and non-residential buildings in Darmstadt and the surrounding area. This tour brings you to the first Passive House, built 25 years ago!

 

3. Heidelberg Tour - Residential and non-residential buildings FULLY BOOKED!

Sunday, 24 April 2016, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Explore the world's largest Passive House district - the Bahnstadt in Heidelberg! The excursion ends at 4:00 pm and participants will arrive back in Darmstadt by 5:00 pm by bus.

 

4. Frankfurt Tour - Non-residential buildings FULLY BOOKED!

Sunday, 24 April 2016, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

This tour takes us to Europe's banking capital and shows us the non-residential buildings in the city built to the Passive House Standard. During this tour we will visit a newly built office building (15.000m² TFA) as well as a newly built school complex (1.500 m² TFA). The third building will be a school that was built in 2009. The excursion ends at 4:00 pm and participants will arrive back in Darmstadt by 5:00 pm by bus.

 

5. Wiesbaden Tour - Residential and non-residential buildings

Sunday, 24 April 2016, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Explore residential and non-residential buildings built to the Passive House Standard in the capital of Hessen! This time only newly built buildings will be visited: The tour takes us to a school, an office building and a multistorey building. The excursion ends at 4:00 pm in Mainz and participants will arrive back in Darmstadt by 5:00 pm by bus.

 

Cultural guiding tour on April 23, 2016: Mathildenhöhe - on the way to UNESCO

FULLY BOOKED

For Saturday night, 23 April 2016, the conference participants can book in addition a guided tour on the Mathildenhöhe that explains the history of the artists' colony founded in 1899. Here, the ensemble will be presented with the studio house, exhibition halls and arts centers. A visit to the houses Glückert and Olbrich gives an impression of the living conditions of the experimental Nouveau.
